Job Description
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Marketing Intern will primarily support the Calendar & Menu Innovation and Field Marketing teams with multiple high priority initiatives and projects for the Tropical Smoothie Cafe brand. The Marketing Intern will gain a broad range of experience in quick service, franchised restaurant marketing. This role reports to the Manager of Calendar & Menu Innovation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Support other members of the marketing team as time allows to assist with all marketing activities, activations and other business initiatives as needed
  • Assistance in preparing content for Mini marketing webinars
  • Field Marketing related initiatives:
    • Local Store Marketing projects
    • Local Facebook marketing – permissioning, process for franchisees
    • Assistance in preparing content for Mini marketing webinars
    • Local marketing fund account balance reviews
  • Carefully proofread marketing materials for accuracy and clarity
  • Assist the team in managing priority projects from start to finish
  • Local marketing fund account balance reviews
  • Local Facebook marketing – permissioning, process for franchisees
  • Ownership of summer project and presentation of findings and initial recommendations to CMO and Marketing Leadership Team
  • Contribute to franchisee-facing documents detailing national and test programs (MAPS/TMAPS)
  • Calendar & Menu Innovation Related initiatives:

    • Competitive research and landscape assessment as needed by the team

WHAT YOU WILL GAIN
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.

  • Exposure to marketing and media agencies
  • Exposure to other areas of the business (analytics, information technology, supply chain, culinary, creative)
REQUIREMENTS
  • Excellent organization and timeline management skills
  • Willingness to be flexible and take on multiple tasks
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule, 40 hours per week
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build working relationships through collaboration to successfully complete a project
  • Pursuing (or having) a degree in Marketing or a related field required
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply basic marketing concepts used in the development of marketing plans
OFFICE CONDITIONS
