Job Description
We are looking for a highly organized, driven, proactive, and service minded Marketing Coordinator to join our North America team. Reporting to the Head of US Marketing, you will be a key player in supporting the US and broader marketing team and local Sales team to plan and execute local marketing events, own US marketing operations and administrative projects to strengthen the brand and activate consumers to buy more Chiquita bananas. You will work on key marketing projects and events from start to finish, working with internal teams and external contractors. As a key member of the US marketing team, you will primarily coordinate with several internal teams and external partners, sales and marketing teams. Our ideal candidate has a great deal of self-sufficiency in staying organized and accomplishing their duties They will also have experience handling several projects simultaneously including but not limited to project management and coordinating events, budget reconciliation, materials requisition. The purpose of this role is to manage and execute a number of projects such as events, tradeshows, invoice management, budgets, point of sale material production, and merchandising. The position will be based in Fort Lauderdale, FL reporting to the US Marketing Lead. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the development and execution of consumer marketing activities nationally and account specific promotions in cooperation with the local sales team
  • Develop, evaluate and monitor deployment of in store materials, display solutions and other sales materials for field sales team
  • Securing and ordering brand merchandise for events, tradeshows and other marketing activities
  • Budget, invoice management, and materials requisition
  • Review and cascade to sales team the weekly, monthly and quarterly business intelligence reports
  • Manage merchandise orders and deliveries
  • Plan, organize and execute programs, trade shows and events by establishing standardized event procedures including venue and travel bookings
  • Build and adhere to an event budget to avoid project overruns
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work under strict deadlines
  • 2+ years of event planning experience
  • Strong organization and planning
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Formal presentation skills

  • Problem analysis and problem solving
  • Ability to deliver positive results in a team working environment with a diverse group of internal and external customers

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint Microsoft applications
  • 2-3 years relevant work experience in event planning, brand/product management, marketing administration and operation,
  • Persuasiveness: pro-activity and foresight to point out opportunities and risks to the business
  • BA/BS in Marketing or Business Required
JOB ENVIRONMENT:
  • Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment in the course of normal workday
  • Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
  • Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
  • Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
