Job Description

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, an international law firm, is actively recruiting a Marketing Communications Manager. This position provides manager-level support for the execution of marketing communication strategies, both internally and externally, for firmwide, industry and key practice initiatives. Responsible for the development and day-to-day management of the firm’s visual brand. Serves as a main point of contact in the development of marketing materials, firm client communications, business development collateral and other related projects.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Serves as project manager for all marketing communications initiatives, including content, events materials multimedia, social media and graphics.

2. Drives the implementation of initiatives that promote Hunton Andrews Kurth and strengthens the firm’s brand in the areas of internal and external communications, brand building, and visual identity.

3. Manages the graphic design function firmwide to include collaboration with stakeholders on projects and developing design concepts and review cycles, managing production timing and leading weekly meetings to review project status and troubleshoot as needed.

4. Leads the graphic design function, and internal photography/videography resources.

5. Ensures editing and quality of all external marketing collateral meets firm protocol. Directs writing (either internal or external resources), edits and proofreads internal and external marketing communications, or coordinates such activities.

6. Partners with business development leads, office administrators, lawyers and others within the firm to create creative briefs and define project scope. Ensures that all creative projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing projects or processes required, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or other client relationship-based organization.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Travel may be required. Availability and willingness to work hours as needed to meet critical deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications. Strong commitment to client service excellence and teamwork. Must possess the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism. Must act as catalyst for change, drive and own results. Creative and innovative. Excellent communication skills (oral, written and listening) and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse group of professionals. Sound judgment and flexibility. Ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions. Visual acuity needed to process and read extensive written communications. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory.
