Who we are looking for:


LSI is looking for a Market Research Strategist to join our Business Development Team at our Corporate Office in Layton UT.


What you will do:


In this role, you will gather, analyzes, and interprets a wide variety of information and interpreting this data for a given market. It considers geographic, demographic, and psychographic data about past, current, and potential customers, to construct a competitive analysis for opportunities or to evaluate the viability of a product offer. The position will conduct both primary and secondary research. Responsibililties will include by not limited to:


  • Participates in time-sensitive projects, and collaborates with colleagues to deliver new initiatives
  • Assist account executives and operations team with extensive research projects, company dossiers, and document formatting
  • Collects, reviews, and summarizes data from multiple sources and prepares reports
  • Creates innovative ways to enhance LSI systems and tools to make our data-related processes more efficient, accurate, and timely
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
  • Attend client meetings/teleconferences
  • Identifies and tracks internal and external business opportunities
  • Maintains hierarchical data on relationships among U.S. federal agencies
  • Analyzes and adds value to open opportunities (e.g., grants, contracts, etc.)


Required Qualifications


  • Possess a deep understanding and expertise in the U.S. federal procurement process, enabling effective navigation and execution of projects within this complex domain.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, English, Communications, or similar discipline
  • Adept at working with abstract ideas and components, adeptly converting them into clear and quantifiable elements that can be articulated and presented effectively in reports and research deliverables.
  • 2+ years of experience doing both primary research and writing
  • Proficient in synthesizing data collected from various sources, including internal analytical tools, discussions, memos, and articles, and transforming it into coherent and actionable insights that directly contribute to the development of tangible products to drive our clients' business growth.
