Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as the Manufacturing Quality Manager for our Smithfield, UT facility.


The Manufacturing Quality Manager is responsible for overall compliance of the Quality Management System for the plant. You will take ownership of the quality and continuous improvement across the plant, ensuring all products and services are delivered with quality at the core.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


As Manufacturing Quality Manager, you will be responsible for:


  • Responsible for Management of Change process and Change Control Board implementation
  • Owning the site's Quality Management System (QMS) and documentation, including policies, procedures, and work instructions covering all processes whilst looking to simplify the way we work and increase collaboration.
  • Overseeing management of company-owned tooling calibration activities, ensuring seamless continuity
  • Build Quality Culture through Stop Work, On-time concern closure, quality improvement projects
  • Ensure ISO re-certification & compliance
  • Ownership includes managing quality assurance and quality control for the plant. Lead RCA management, ensuring timely RCA resolutions
  • Owning, managing, and monitoring quality related programs and activities as required, covering all processes within the site.
  • Lead, develop, coach operations team on quality methods and key competencies related to critical processes
  • Work closely with global team to share and implement best-practices
  • Ensure adequate training/skills for quality engineers, internal auditors, quality control inspectors
  • Focusing and driving projects to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ).
  • Leading process improvement and Lean project initiatives internally as required, work with the Supplier Quality team on process improvement initiatives.
  • Overall responsibility for Internal Audit execution, for conformance to quality plans, systems, and requirements as per the Internal Audit Plan
  • Driving quick and effective closure of any assigned Non-Conformances, Customer Issues,, Audit Findings, RCAs/NCAs, and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) cases.
  • Creating effective communication with other functional areas. Influencing peers to meet the objectives.
