Job Description
Mission
  • Provide the best in class test facility for air compressors, Generators & pumps to achieve the safe process producing good quality products through Lean Manufacturing principal
Main responsibilities
  • Implement a Lean Manufacturing for power technique test area
  • Safety
 Safety & ergonomic analysis of all test activities for test area setup to eliminate work related injuries
 Provide ergonomic work assists for safe workplace
 5S implementation and support
  • Quality
 Define the test process to ensure first time right quality product from testing
 Identify & implement PokaYoke solutions through innovative solution like operator guidance systems / test auotmation
 Provide visual work instructions for process standardization & training to new operators
 Identify the automation projects to improve safety / quality /delivery
 Perform & upgrade PFMEA for new & existing process for proactive quality
  • Delivery
 Design / Maintain Flexible test booths & tools able to test different products
 Reduce rework by an active root cause analysis from first time right issues to increase utilization of test cells
 Ensure equipment / tools maintenance to avoid line stoppage
  • Cost
 Design / develop the world-class test infra-structure to ensure safety & quality.
 Optimize environment footprint e.g. CO2 reduction in operation through test process optimization & improvement
 Track investments payback
  • Lead the Kaizen Visual Board from operators to introduce Quickly their ideas
  • Contribute in PTM & TCM teams to improve Quality and Cost
  • Validate and improve the prototype
  • IMS (ISO 9001, 14000 & OHSAS) mandatory, legal & internal requirement fulfilment for manufacturing, including Hazard identification & risk assessment
  • Benchmark competition and market technology trends, to bring new way of working that could increase Quality and Cost leadership (Virtual Reality, , Automation, AVIX, MES, …)
  • Contribute to a Kaizen & Innovation Process
  • Timely management of the DN (design Notification) applicable for test area
  • Create best practices by formalizing the testing knowledge
  • Prepare the test setup (tooling, equipment, line balancing, test programs.) to accommodate new products on existing test stations / new test set up
  • Participate in project team meetings
  • Perform a PFMEA to optimize the test area performance
  • Define new Working instructions for the operators, with eventually training
  • Active member of the NPD process, to introduce machines in testing infrastructure

What we expect of you?
General Responsibilities

Experience / Educational Requirements
  • Technical knowledge in test setup / testing infrastructure for compressor /Generator / Pumps, engine etc.
  • Fluent in English
  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing / Industrial engineering, with implementing successful projects, automation, NPD, with Safety/ergonomic knowledge
  • Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineer, Master would be a plus
  • Use of IT tools like Line Balancing AVIX, BPCS ERP, MES
  • Good understanding of lean manufacturing concept, automation … and technology trends like Industry 4.0
