Job Title
Managing Consultant, Advisors Business Development
MasterCard Advisors, the professional services arm of MasterCard Worldwide, provides payments-focused consulting, marketing, information and risk management services to financial institutions and merchants worldwide.
The Managing Consultant (MC) is responsible for Business Development, selling and supporting the delivery of end-to-end projects or big pieces of larger/more complex solutions from multiple product.
The MC manages client or prospects portfolios, managing the day-to-day relationship with clients and Mastercard internal stakeholders, controls quality of the deliverables, and develops & delivers presentations.
For this specific opportunity, we are looking for candidates with experience in retail or consumer packaged goods in sales or product area that can bring his or her knowledge to support us to grow the business in these industries.
In particular, the candidate should be able to:
  • Develop conclusions and recommendations.
  • Quickly identify shortcomings in projects and take remedial action.
  • Create and deliver succinct, persuasive, and effective presentations to client executives.
  • Develop effective working relationships with client executives.
  • Lead problem solving efforts and structure the project work plan.
  • Lead the team in formulating, articulating, and prioritizing project activities.
  • Capture senior and mid-level clients’ implicit business needs in addition to articulated requests, and identify most critical aspects of the problem to be solved during the project.
  • Lead Business Development initiatives.
  • Lead and manage the project team
  • Contribute as a thought leader to the development of intellectual capital.
  • Oversee the accuracy, quality and timeliness hypotheses-driven and fact-based analysis.
  • Actively participate in recruiting, training and developing others.
  • Support project sales through designing and/or contributing to proposals.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • MBA or relevant post graduate degree required.
  • Undergraduate degree required.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Local language and English proficiency required.
  • Experience in managing projects and teams.
  • Payments industry experience desirable.
  • Work experience in a top rated management consulting or retail and consumer packaged goods industries.
  • Ability to work on a team or independently.
