Position Summary


The role will have overall responsibilities for the planning, implementation, management and training compliance monitoring for Janssen Medical and Scientific Affairs (MESA), Commercial Quality (CQ) US, NA Regional Quality, and applicable US Commercial/Deliver staff GxP training programs. The role also coordinates training related to local US, regional and enterprise content for Janssen-owned GxP systems and related processes.


Program Development & Implementation


  • Assist in the development, implementation, maintenance and oversight of MESA, JSD and CQ NA quality staff role-based curricula.
  • Liaise with Global CQ Training team and other internal J&J quality departments and external groups to optimize technology, opportunities and to enhance compliance.
  • Partner with internal MESA/CQ/JSD customers in the design and development of training and training materials (training plan, course outline, knowledge assessments, instructional materials and tools) using sound instructional systems design methodology.
  • Lead or assist training of small and large groups as needed.
  • Lead external vendors supporting the training program, compliance reports and metrics.
  • Develop timelines and training schedules to meet strategic plan goals (e.g., Pharm sector documents, enterprise training and qualification standards, Law/HCC requirements, CAPAs).
  • Represents MESA, JSD, CQ and US Commercial businesses on global and regional committees/work streams involving the training technology platform and training procedural documents


Curriculum And Proficiency Development And Assessment


  • Assume responsibility for role-based curricula management for business units integrating within the US QMS.
  • Establish curricula with Leadership (i.e., new hire training, therapeutic, product, compliance training, and other areas as identified).
  • Partner with leadership to develop, validate and implement competency models.


Training Administration And Systems/Software Support


  • Run CV collection/review process and assist in collection/review process
  • Support the Director Commercial Quality Excellence North America in decision making process regarding training investments and priorities.
  • Provide audit support related to training (e.g., Subject Matter Expertise, training transcripts, course materials, curriculum, or ad hoc reports)
  • Provide expertise on optimal Training Program Delivery systems (e.g., instructor led, web-based, blended, live, mobile, video, etc.) and ensure optimal use of resources and proper application of adult learning principles
  • Provide training quality metrics to management and guide external partners involved in the processing of metrics and related ad hoc reports.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to training tools (e.g., LMS, assessment tools, publishing tools, systems, etc.)
  • Support and provide input into Learning Management Systems content maintenance, deployment and upgrades


A minimum of a Bachelor's or equivalent University degree is required


Required


  • Familiarity with different means of training program delivery including classroom, web-based, blended training programs
  • Energetic and enthusiastic person who is willing to work hard and capable of building a strong network with various resources
  • Working Knowledge in one or more learning technologies and tools (e.g., Lectora, Articulate, Adobe Captivate, Flash, etc.), Webpublisher, SharePoint sites and databases
  • Must work with internal and field-based Janssen professionals, other J&J departments, and external customers (e.g., healthcare professionals, vendors).
  • 6-8 years in regulated industry with 3-5 years training experience and solid understanding in Learning Management System platforms
  • Project management skills, ability to present applying excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency in effective interpersonal communication skills, fosters teamwork, and provide continuous improvement and innovation
  • The incumbent will liaise with other groups within J&J to obtain information on training resources and opportunities


Preferred


  • Experience in organizational development and adult education
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and GxP pertaining to training
