Job Description

Under direction of the Manager of District Human Resources or Manager – Human Resources, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator provides daily support in the areas of talent acquisition, onboarding, engagement and administration relative to the hiring and retention of package handlers and in some locations, non-management, non-package handlers, in the assigned coverage area.

Essential Functions

• Supports the overall talent acquisition strategy in collaboration with the talent acquisition specialist and HR business partners, including peak planning, developing/refreshing hiring plans, recruiting/outreach events, building strategic business relationships and other targeted talent acquisition activities. • Coordinates and/or conducts full cycle talent acquisition and hiring process for package handlers at one or more location(s). • May coordinate and/or conduct full cycle talent acquisition and hiring process for non-management, non-package handlers for one or more location(s), including interview scheduling, conducting non-management interviews, applicant disposition, and making recommendations for hires. • Coordinates and facilitates the new hire orientation process, including scheduling the orientation, ensuring accurate new hire paperwork completion and creating the employee file. • Ensures proper process administration, including file maintenance, in partnership with operations and HR business partners and compliance with company policy and procedures. • Provides local employee relations support by documenting employee concerns for appropriate follow-up. Creates solutions for a variety of employee concerns by utilizing internal tools. • Ability to professionally communicate to internal and external customers in a variety of styles to include email, text, and voice communications in person or digitally, to include maintaining a professional social media presence. • Updates and monitors reports under the guidance of HR management or HR business partners, to ensure correct processes are occurring in various areas including package handler turnover trends, government tax programs and other Talent Acquisition activities. • Supports HR business partners by participating in and developing engagement/retention events and compliance activities. • May be assigned to work at multiple locations; some locations requiring travel. Other travel may be required based on work assignments.

Minimum Education

  • High school diploma or GED required. Associates (or higher) degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Liberal Arts, or related discipline preferred.

Minimum Experience

  • Three (3) years administrative experience or one (1) year FedEx operations management experience required. In lieu of minimum experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Liberal Arts or related field is accepted. One(1) year HR experience preferred.

Required Skills, Abilities and / or Licensure

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint • Presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals • Verbal and written English language communication skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management • Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision • Ability to develop and apply effective methods for tracking and monitoring data or information • Ability to proficiently utilize, navigate and understand ATS, HRIS, and electronic platforms. • Ability to think creatively
