- Responsible for coordinating and managing the audit programs and vendor management oversight activities and processes within the Tech Ops organization.
- This job is a member of the Quality Assurance Team within the Integrated Operations Division.
- The primary role is to develop, establish and enforce standards and measures for the maintenance, engineering and vendor management functions.
What you'll do
- Coordinates and manages the audit requirements of aircraft line maintenance to include aircraft fueling, both fuel storage and into-plane fueling and deicing activities
- Interacts with all operating departments to develop tactical and strategic oversight of all Maintenance, Repair and Engineering operational elements
- Where appropriate, advises on changes and their implementation and provides training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality.
- Coordinates and manages the QA Program resources that interface and function as a part of the Tech Ops Quality and Safety Management Systems
- Identifies training and development needs for his/her work group and ensures that appropriate training is provided to meet the needs
- Partners QA activities with other functional contributors to the Continuous Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) through a data-driven process. This includes comprehensive oversight of assigned base/line maintenance and repair activities, as well as related engineering and support functions.
- Monitors and advises on the performance of the quality management system and produces data and reports on performance, measuring against set indicators
- Acts as a contributing member of the CASS working group to analyze and identify areas of increased risk and directs the audit schedule based on those risks
- Ensures that all organization activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing AA's business operations
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- A successful track record and experience with process improvement in maintenance and/or production environments
- 5 years related Quality Assurance experience
- High School diploma or GED equivalency
- 5 years' experience in related aircraft maintenance and/or engineering positions
- Line and/or Base station, operations and/or shop experience at a Level 4 supervisor or above
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- FAA A&P license
- 10 years experience in related aircraft maintenance and/or engineering positions
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Working knowledge of FAA, OSHA, EPA and other governmental regulations pertaining to aircraft maintenance, repair, engineering and vendor management
- Knowledge of principles and processes for meeting quality standards for products and services and evaluation of those processes
- Airline and aircraft maintenance technical knowledge
- Working knowledge of AA Tech Ops policies and procedures
- Understand and create plans utilizing a wide array of airline and aircraft maintenance technical and process measurement data
- Line maintenance requirements, including aircraft fueling and deicing
- Working knowledge of the applicable CFRs and their application
- Knowledge of principles and methods for quality assurance program design and the measurement of quality / compliance
