Your role at Clorox:
The Production Manager is responsible for managing all of the operations of an assigned shift at the Reno plant. In this role, the Production Manager will serve as a “manufacturing generalist” for all operating team members focusing on daily management and coordination of safety, health, quality, efficiency, costs, raw material management, people development, people accountability, and performance management for the assigned night shifts. The Manager is also responsible for one complete shift comprised of one department – Packaging, with approximately 40 FTE (full-time employees) and any contingent workers as needed for peak seasons.
In this role, you will:
Operating Results – Operating Floor Leadership
  • Ensure that effective daily managing systems are in place to drive to root cause and process centered interventions.
  • Drive operating results to achieve daily/weekly/monthly/annual operating targets in safety, quality, case output, OEE, costs, and material management.
  • Handle requests and issues that require escalation beyond frontline and team resources.
  • Assure follow-up actions are identified and completed.
  • Lead and coordinate resources needed to drive operations (safety, quality, production, people development and accountability)
  • Set and maintain process and workflow direction for the shift and provide direct input into team performance and evaluations.
People/Engagement Strategy Execution
  • Provide feedback, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
  • Ensure and nurture a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies to optimize and build effective work teams.
  • Lead and develop teams to drive daily operations engagement and accountability.
  • Partner with Plant HR Manager to drive engagement and compliance.
Continuous Improvement
  • Lead sustainability and improvement efforts (centerlines, CILs, abnormality tracking) to maintain and improve operations at world class standards.
  • Utilize leadership teams to develop, implement, and execute tactical strategies to meet operating goals.
What we look for:
  • 4+ years of operational management or production supervisory experience. Operational technical experience;
  • Desire to move upward and relocate within Clorox;
  • Strong people skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Minimum Education Level/ Degree (Preferred)
  • Exposure to World Class Manufacturing, Lean, or 6-Sigma is a plus;
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills;
  • BS/BA – Technical/Engineering, Operations, or Business.
  • GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or Food manufacturing experience is also a plus.
  • Team facilitation and consensus building working thru engagement of various levels of the organization;

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
–Zone A: $84,500 - $158,000
–Zone B: $77,500 - $144,800
–Zone C: $70,400 - $131,700
