This position leads player communication efforts to create detailed, consistent, and uniformed messaging to PGA TOUR Pathways membership. Additionally, this position establishes and maintains strong connectivity, trust, communication, and authentically has a deep understanding of player’s needs, goals and challenges at various stages of their career and within the pathways ecosystem.


Qualifications


  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills
  • Effective communicator, thought leader, and innovator
  • Must maintain high level of confidentiality regarding sensitive player information and have ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a professional manner
  • Minimum five years of experience in the golf industry, with experience in tournament administration preferred; experience in Sports Communications, Sports Management, or related areas preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management or related field
  • Possesses an intimate knowledge of how college golf and professional golf intersect
  • Strong leader and proven ability to build relationships with various groups of constituents
  • Existing relationships with golf industry (players, agents, manufacturers)


Responsibilities/Duties


  • Special projects or others duties as assigned
  • Responsible for developing all formalized communication to membership including but not limited to player reports, blue sheets, links, player letters and wider membership notifications
  • Collaborate with PGA TOUR Player Relations communications to ensure Pathways are integrated in broader organizational communication strategy and tactics
  • Manage weekly entry process of player information into Player Relations CRM
  • Assist in developing PAC and Player Meeting materials and presentations
  • Keep abreast of evolving global landscape and all pathways available to players
  • Create and manage annual player communication strategy including calendar outlining activity by key dates, specific deliverables, objectives
  • Interact with TOUR staff to address membership needs and desires
  • Be aware of and maintain catalogue of best practices from other sports teams and leagues to best serve player needs
  • Draft weekly Korn Ferry Tour player reports
  • Maintain Player Relations CRM data is updated and readily available for analysis and discussion
  • Coordinate, deploy, track and compile results for weekly player surveys
  • Foster and expand a strong network of contacts in the industry to maximize knowledge of players
  • Assist in annual New Member Orientation
  • Work with TOUR resources for language translation needed in player materials
  • Work in collaboration with other PGA TOUR Player Relations teams to support transition to the PGA TOUR
