POSITION SUMMARY

Safety Marking is looking to bring on an inventory and parts manager with extensive experience in inventory tracking and procurement.This person will report directly into our Shop Director and will work closely with the Shop, Road and Operations team. The company utilizes epoxy, paint, thermo, elements, and tape as its primary inventory items and is required to track this on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for various reporting purposes. The company is looking to centralize the tracking and purchasing of this inventory under one position.Additionally, the company has a large mechanic shop for all fleet maintenance of 145 vehicles.The shop requires someone to track part inventory levels, ordering, and stock maintenance.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Areas of specific responsibility will include the following:


Inventory

·Track and reconcile all inventory used weekly companywide

·Report daily on usage rates and stocking levels

·Procure inventory from our select vendors companywide

·Assign and maintain inventory storage areas / locations onsite

Parts

  • Manage all warranty part returns to vendors
  • Place part orders and fill all part requests
  • Manage inventory stock levels and perform weekly inventory tie-out
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment (Safety is not just our first name!)
  • Enhance our parts tracking system and create a mini-inventory system
  • Monitor and correct invoices
  • Other ad hoc part & inventory tasks
  • Track down parts which may involve using a company vehicle to pick up part(s)

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

Important technical skills/functional abilities include:

  • Self-starter/problem solver with excellent communication skills
  • Strong computer skills to research and place orders as well as follow up with vendors and track inventory / parts in excel
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Valid Medical Card
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Good people skills and a positive attitude
  • College Degree preferred
  • Must be able to lift or move 40 lbs. and complete repetitive lifting, bending, and stooping or kneeling.
