Safety Marking Inc. is New England’s largest pavement marking company. We have 50 years of experience in the line striping business and are headquartered in Bridgeport, CT with additional locations in Rhode Island and Long Island.
SCHEDULE
  • 40+ hours
  • Monday-Friday
  • Overtime after 40 hours
  • Saturdays as needed
Responsibilities
Areas of specific responsibility will include the following:
  • Self-starter/problem solver
  • Manage inventory stock levels and perform weekly inventory tie-out
  • Strong computer skills in order to research and place orders as well as follow up with vendors.
  • Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor in an effective and timely manner.
  • Manage all warranty part returns to vendors.
  • Follow all SMC policies and procedures.
  • Place parts orders and fill all part requests.
  • Assume other duties as directed by supervisor.
  • Extensive knowledge of fleet, parts catalogs, vendors, and stock to order accordingly.
  • Excellent verbal communication with co-workers and vendors.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings, training, and certification programs.
  • Monitor and correct invoices, if required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment (Safety is not just our first name!)
Qualifications
Important technical skills/functional abilities include:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Valid Medical Card
  • Good people skills – patient, cooperative, and a positive attitude
  • Must be able to lift or move 40 lbs. and complete repetitive lifting, bending, and stooping or kneeling.
  • Proficient computer skills.
