Overview


Bayview Asset Management is an investment management firm focused on investments in mortgage and consumer credit. The Emerging Strategies Lending Products segment is a business line for direct-to-consumer lending efforts, focused on homeowners. The team will create innovative solutions that will raise awareness of available financial options and provide products to improve the financial well-being of consumers. Home Improvement Lending is a new start-up business within the Emerging Strategies Lending Products segment, focused on providing financing solutions in the home improvement space through dealer networks and directly to consumers.


We are seeking an experienced professional to work with external partners / customers and create and maintain internal operations to support the build and launch of our Home Improvement Lending Platform. Ideal candidate should have robust experience in the consumer lending space, and the ability to oversee day-to-day operations for a Home Improvement Lender in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. As a new business, we are seeking a self-starter who has a disposition for problem-solving and a bias for action. As part of the effort to stand up Home Improvement Lending, this person will work with internal/external stakeholders and leaders to launch our business.


As a remote-first organization, the Home Improvement Lending group will be geographically distributed across the US - this role is fully remote anywhere in the United States and can also take advantage of Bayview’s offices in New York City, NY or Coral Gables, FL. Compensation range $100K-125K base pay, with meaningful bonus / upside potential negotiable based on experience and location.


Responsibilities

  • Work with compliance to onboard and monitor contractor relationships.
  • Assist sales team in helping to activate contractor sales reps with a nurture track and incentives.
  • Establish and measure internal KPIs to enhance performance and improve partner experience.
  • Drive effective cross-functional teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitments across multiple disparate groups, vendors, and partners.
  • Ensure service delivery and provide optimal customer experience to dealer partners on and off-hours.
  • Develop and execute strategic operational policies and procedures to grow Home Improvement Lending’s loan operations.
  • Ensure a safe and secure work environment.
  • Oversee phone system and enforce work-from-home policies.
  • Adhere to the Company’s Compliance Standards.
  • Engage team by recruiting, selecting, onboarding, and training employees.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across relevant functional departments to ensure business continuity.
  • Build out salesforce functionality help internal team service loan pipeline.
  • Collaborate with 3rd-party technology vendors. Help document and share tech challenges.
  • Provide expertise on issues relating to applicable laws and regulations in the consumer lending space.

Qualifications


SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:


  • Mandatory experience in consumer lending space.
  • Ability and willingness to take full ownership of initiatives and/or issues - with external partners and internal operations - until they are completed and/or resolved.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with clients, internal teams, and external vendors and partners.
  • Analytical skillset to collect, analyze, communicate, and action based on factual data and insights, guided by a growth mindset.
  • Proven history of consumer lending business operations experience, preferably in the Home Improvement space.
  • Demonstrated capability to build a strong working operations team with appropriate processes as well as checks and balances.


EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:


  • 5+ year of experience in consumer lending space.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 7-10 years of business operations experience in consumer finance.
