The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for the overall quality of our software delivery. This position will be responsible for ensuring that our software that is running in production is bug-free. This role will build a quality assurance framework for other team members to follow to adhere to. They will be managing several QA resources to ensure that quality processes are followed across the various scrum teams. The incumbent will be a champion of agile, documentation of testing, automated testing. The Lead Quality Assurance engineer will be a champion of collecting granular data points to enable data driven decisions.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Test, and sign-off on functional tickets based on requirements.
  • Use data driven approach to monitor health of production issues and resolving root causes of production issues.
  • Communicate with team members and leverage data to show deficiencies in our software development practices.
  • Triage production issues and communicate out updates to relevant stake holders.
  • Experiment with new practices and frameworks to improve team outcomes.
  • Work with our cloud / devops engineer to facilitate automated testing during build / deploy process.
  • Contribute to the advancement and improvement of agile practices within the organization.
  • Effectively estimate & manage QA testing during sprint planning.
  • Effective communications on how to replicate production issues.
  • Build / document testing scenarios.
  • Contribute to agile activities and ceremonies and lead the point estimation for testing.
  • Reduce production related bugs.
  • Implement code quality tools and monitor code quality, code issues.
  • Build an automation testing framework that can be used by other scrum teams.
  • Document testing scenarios and leverage JIRA and Confluence as a documentation repository

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Deep knowledge of agile practices, frameworks, and techniques.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record for building a thorough Quality Assurance program
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with agile planning and development tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Rally).
  • Coaching skills and ability to motivate teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
  • Experience developing automation, load testing.
  • Demonstrated experience managing QA engineers (FTEs, and/or offshore consultants).
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent years of experience).
  • 5-7 years of experience with quality assurance development
Targeted salary range: $115 - $127
