Grainger's Puerto Rico’s inventory planning team manages over 10 million SKU's and nearly $2 billion in inventory supported across 500 DC's and branches in North America. Reporting to the Manager, Supply Chain & Customer Experience, you will lead a team of analysts to make data-driven decisions on where, when, and how much inventory is needed to satisfy customers’ needs.

• Manage Puerto Rico SURI system
• Follow the Grainger Edge and its principles when determining prioritization of work within your team
• Partner with teams throughout Supply Chain to identify projects that drive operational efficiencies, cost savings, and automation of tools/processes
• Lead efforts to monitor and document production-based processes/models and develop processes to address errors or inconsistencies in outputs
• Use a continuous improvement mindset when identifying projects and improvements for your team to work on
• Deliver analyses that support the strategic positioning of inventory 2+ years into the future
• Lead a team of analysts and develop their skillsets within data visualization, advanced analytics, and predictive forecasting
• Incorporate order management process to fulfill customer orders
• Develop new models, planning strategies, and processes that drive improvements to Grainger Puerto Rico’s overall inventory planning
• Coordinate reverse logistics and supplier returns

• BA/BS in Supply Chain, material management, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
• Expertise in developing solutions from large datasets, and experience in at least two of the following: forecasting, optimization, machine learning, or simulation
• Graduate degree (MS or equivalent) in material management, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field ideal.
• Proficiency in material management with aptitude to learn new languages/tools
• Skillset required to influence without authority
• Proven success providing results throughout each step of the project management process, from problem identification to implementation
• Success creating and fostering strong cross-functional partnerships and mutually beneficial solutions
• Bilingual preferred
• Strategic and creative approach to problem solving
