Summary
We are continually searching for talented people who can adapt to a fast-moving manufacturing industry. We make Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV’s) here in Petaluma, CA, and are looking for a driven Inventory Control professional to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company’s inventory and serve as the primary point of contact for all inventory control related issues and processes.
Position Responsibilities
  • Compare inventories to reports generated from MRP system to obtain current inventory.
  • Support the Operations and Accounting team’s month end activities related to inventory reserves as well as transactions inclusive of returns, and obsolescence.
  • Make necessary inventory and cycle count adjustments.
  • Work closely with finance to maintain transaction account data impact, update and/or correct.
  • Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with operations team.
  • In conjunction with the Accounting Department, develop inventory plans in support of the business.
  • Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory.
  • Strengthen system processes and controls over inventory.
  • Maintain Inventory Control procedure documentation.
  • Conduct research and resolve all the inaccuracies in inventory through complete audits of the internal processes.
  • Monitor the usage of the stock, coordinate with the other departments and make data driven recommendations for change in inventory.
  • Receive and issue finished goods into MRP system.
  • Prepare reports, such as inventory balance, and shortages, and monthly reports for cycle count.
  • Maintain Company inventory, production control and the processing of in-bound and out-bound production to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization.
  • Maintain complete/accurate inventory levels within the MRP system while developing management KPIs to highlight performance.
  • Create and manage materials forecast and budget.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
  • Proven track record of successfully training employees in an inventory system.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management software, MRP.
  • Experience in audit, internal controls, compliance, finance, inventory management in supply chain environment.
  • A resourceful problem solver.
  • FileMaker would be a plus but not required.
  • 5+ years’ experience in inventory control.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel.
  • 2+ years of Management experience.
Other Qualification & Desired Competencies
  • Oracle/Agile experience highly desired
  • Team oriented with good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-changing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with finance or accounting to ensure the accuracy of the Company's inventory.
  • 3+ years working with an MRP system.
  • Proficient working with MS Office Suite.
  • 5+ years of complex manufacturing inventory management experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Demands
  • Walk, handle, or feel with the ability to reach with hands and arms (Constant)
  • Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs. and carry/move objects of varying shapes and sizes (Frequent)
  • Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl (Occasional)
  • Ability to work in a warehouse and/or manufacturing environment (Constant)
  • Ability to regularly sit or stand for long periods of time (Frequent)
The salary range for this role is:
$91,200 - $136,800
