The Team: The Inventory Control Supervisor is part of the Mattel San Bernardino Distribution Center Management team.


The Opportunity:

The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for providing day to day guidance and support to the Distribution Center inventory team to meet or exceed goals and ensuring policies and practices are executed consistently.

What Your Impact Will Be:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations. This list is not all inclusive.

  • Provides direction and guidance to the distribution center inventory team.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for corporate inquiries, customers, and vendors.
  • Other projects or tasks as assigned by your manager.
  • Ensures consistency in execution of policies, processes and practices
  • Coordinates activities with other departments as needed.
  • Oversees programs and processes such as cycle counting, transfer of product between facilities, product problems and resolution, inventory balances and adjustments, book audits, and invoicing


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Other supervisory responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and discipline employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Supervises employees in accordance with the organization’s policies, practices, and applicable law.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Microsoft Office (intermediate or above)
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong mathematic skills- ability to calculate figures such as percentages, volume, cost, time.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills. Abe to analyses and interpret reports, graphs, and other data.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Able to collaborate with staff at all levels and locations, customers, and vendors.
  • Strong oral communication skills. Able to speak effectively before groups of employees, management customers, executives and other corporate partners.
  • Computer with Windows based operating system
  • 3+ years of experience in an inventory or operational leadership role
  • Skilled at creating and maintaining functional and cross-functional partnerships.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred
  • Strong reading skills. Able to read and interpret documents such as shipping documents, bills of lading, reports, safety rules/ procedures, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Strong writing skills. Able to write reports and correspondences.

The annual base salary range for this position is between $80,750 and $95,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
