Job Description
Overview


The Manager, Event Marketing is responsible for all event management responsibilities: leading and managing all corporate events, including budgeting, planning, ordering, on-site support, logistics, and KPIs. The ideal candidate has a deep passion for events and a proven track record of planning and executing events of all sizes. This position will have visibility and impact throughout all levels of the organization. During event downtimes, this role will help complete other marketing projects.

Responsibilities


  • Maintain the annual calendar of events with details.
  • Execute special assignments and tasks for the Marketing team.
  • Lead internal event planning and preparation calls.
  • Represent Maxor at industry events and tradeshows as needed.
  • Comply with Maxor’s Ethical Business Conduct policy and Maxor’s Compliance Program.
  • Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department.
  • Support Maxor sales enablement, coordinating closely with sales across all business units to build out assets and other deliverables that empower the sales team during events and help drive revenue and retention of new and existing clients.
  • Ensure alignment of event sponsorships with business objectives and messaging.
  • Perform event management responsibilities, including researching events, pre and post-event marketing, booking and setting up for events, managing registration, overseeing trade show inventory and booth assets, and all other trade show and event logistics.
  • Help track, measure, and report metrics across Maxor’s event marketing efforts.
  • Quantify exposure, engagement, and value gained from events and strategic partnerships.
  • Own inventory, warehousing, ordering, and printing tasks, processes, and relationships.
  • Own assigned trade shows and events, and work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to develop and implement event marketing strategy.
  • Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists.


Qualifications


Education: Bachelor’s degree; English Composition, Communications, Journalism, Business, or Marketing preferred.


Experience: Minimum of 6 years’ experience directly related to the functions of the position and leadership experience with direct report employees.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Adobe Creative Suite applications, Photoshop and Illustrator and/or InDesign is a plus.
  • Proven track record of successful event planning and execution, including managing several shows in parallel (project management).
  • Owner mentality with the willingness to jump in and help with other projects.
  • Experience negotiating hotel, event, and venue contracts and handling complex event budgets.
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision, strong decision-making abilities, and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic team player with exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including executives and stakeholders.
  • Good attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, executing events, and meeting deadlines.
