Masonite is seeking a leader who is passionate about data to establish master data management, enforce data governance, and ensure data quality across the data ecosystem. This person will be responsible for owning the Master Data/Data Governance strategic roadmap. They will design, implement, and manage Master Data Management tools and processes, define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and tools.
  • Manage data quality issues and takes corrective action when needed.
  • Business Requirements Documents for Master Data Management Solution
  • Design, implement and manage Master Data Management tools and processes.
  • Act as an agent of change to help drive data best practices and evangelize the concept of “data as an asset”.
  • Create a strategy and roadmap for Master Data Management by evaluating where we are at now and where we are going
  • Utilize data literacy to translate among the importance of data governance, data quality, master data management, etc to executive, business and IT stakeholders.
  • Be an advisor on how to best manage master data (standards and processes)
  • Technical Requirements documents for Master Data Management Solution
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining multiple documents such as:
  • Serve as a liaison between Business and Functional areas and IT to ensure that data related business requirements for master data are utilize best practices & comply with all data governance policies, processes and procedures.
  • Work very heavily with the internal AR, finance, product management, and operations to define global standards
  • Be open to perform other tasks to assist the data and analytics team
  • Data Dictionary
  • Updated global business rules/standards with the approval of the data governance council
  • Lead conversations with the business and educate them on MDM
  • Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and tools
  • Cleanse and normalize master data as needed based on global business rules/standards
  • Lead the implementation of a Master Data Management system (Informatica) & program in partnership with an established SI (system integrator) partner for Informatica and D365 F&O/CE as well as the Sr. Manager of Data Architecture
  • Maintain strategic alignment and compliance with US and international data privacy regulations (eg. GDPR, CCPA) by collaborating with Legal, Internal/External Audit and IT leaders.
  • Take ownership of customer mdm for the ERP and Informatica and all applications (ex CE/CRM) in the organization - define and document all processes, standards, roles, and responsibilities globally
  • Ensure global standards are ALWAYS adhered to
  • SOPs for managing master data – processes and standards
  • Take ownership of product mdm for the ERP and Informatica and all applications in the organization - define and document all processes, standards, roles, and responsibilities globally
  • Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, processes, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements.
  • Responsible for initial cleansing of all data and the ongoing maintenance - ensuring consistent, accurate, complete, accessible and timely data.
  • Works with data owners to define & document global guidelines, business rules, standards, and processes for managing master data and meta data.


Qualifications

  • Excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills; able to work across business lines at all levels to understand business requirements.
  • Informatica or other Master Data Tool
  • Ability to lead cross-functionally (i.e. lead peers and direct reports)
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment.
  • Agile Delivery (nice to have)
  • Ability to drive projects forward/to completion.
  • Ability to cleanse data via manual efforts or automated efforts
  • 10+ years of Data Experience (at least 5 must be in master data management)
  • Proven data literacy as it relates to master data and data governance
  • Analytical skills: outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage up and down
  • Ability to work with large amounts of detailed data.
  • Leadership skills to manage various personality types across all business units
  • Ability to take initiative, use sound judgment, make independent decisions and work with tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with business information generation and analysis methods.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, computer science, data science, information science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Communicates well verbally and demonstrates advanced written communication skills.
