YOUR IMPACT

The Consumer Insights Manager will play a critical role in Wingstop’s strategic growth agenda. This role will be responsible for bringing consumer insights to the organization through both primary and secondary data sources. This person will be an essential cross-functional partner who is able to utilize research resources to answer essential business questions.

In order to be successful in this role, the candidate must possess strong research, analytical, and communication skills. Extensive experience designing and executing both quantitative and qualitative research studies is required. The person in this role should have the ability to weave multiple data forms into actionable insights, and to communicate those insights in a straightforward yet compelling manner. Exceptional team, cross-functional, and partner leadership skills are also essential.


WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage key initiatives/projects from beginning-to-end, including project planning and influencing/leveraging cross-functional team members
  • Partner with and manage external marketing research vendors and data suppliers as needed to address key business issues
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Know and understand the Wingstop business from all angles, including its competitive advantages and challenges
  • Utilize DIY research platforms when needed for quick and efficient research projects
  • Act as an insights leader, including identifying areas where insights are needed, engaging appropriate insights resources, and socializing insights findings throughout the organization
  • Provide actionable insights generated through custom marketing research projects, ongoing tracker/customer experience databases, secondary syndicated data sources, and point-of-sale data
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to understand data/insights needs across the organization by developing strong partnerships with members across the entire Wingstop team


WHO YOU ARE

  • Strong working knowledge of a wide array of marketing research methods, platforms, and applications
  • Experience working with YouGov and Zappi dashboards and point-of-sale (POS) data in the foodservice space is a strong plus
  • Must exhibit critical thinking, curiosity and willingness to experiment and try new solutions
  • A valid U.S. driver’s license required
  • Must be able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in an agile environment
  • Willing to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, empowered, action-oriented culture
  • Market research experience on both the client side and the agency/vendor side is a strong plus
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize multiple data sources to produce succinct reports and narratives
  • Experience in the following types of research: international research, brand health tracking, focus groups and depth interviews (in-person and online), advertising testing, concept testing, food sensory testing, among others
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be willing to engage with senior team members, cross-functional teams, and franchisee partners

  • Frequent use of a computer and/or other technology essential to the successful completion of your everyday responsibilities.
  • Frequent use of mental energy while gathering, documenting, analyzing, and communicating information with cross-functional colleagues and extended Wingstop team.
  • Routine need to shift priorities among simultaneous projects, while upholding quality and sense of urgency.
