Job Description
The Community Engagement Manager reports to the Director of Learning & Development in Human Resources and is responsible for overseeing a range of community relations, marketing, communications, supervisory and fundraising activities. They will oversee the development and implementation of the organization’s community outreach plan and calendar, ensuring that the organization’s presence and support are strongly felt in our community. They will work closely with Resorts World Las Vegas and organizational leadership to identify, manage, and build partnerships and relationships with peer organizations, government entities and officials, donors, and volunteers. This position will also oversee the Team Member volunteer program along with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform pillar of Philanthropy.

Primary Job Duties – Includes, But Is Not Limited To


  • Oversee and respond to inquires from community members and Team Members.
  • Oversee the drafting and distribution of donation certificates.
  • Oversee and supports all fundraising activities, events, and endeavors while managing donation requests both cash and in kind.
  • Support communications elements of organization’s fundraising and development efforts.
  • Serve professionally as Resorts World Las Vegas organizational point of contact for new relationships, partnerships, and events and coordinates initial communications between new external contacts and organization’s. leadership team to develop, maintain, and grow effective relationships with industry and community partners.
  • Support program leadership and staff in the planning and logistics of educational and programmatic events.
  • Undertake any secondary tasking and responsibilities deemed necessary for a robust Community Engagement program,
  • Designan and manage organizational annual event calendar for internal and external events and facilitates staff attendance for events in coordination with program management.
  • Responsible for supervising community relations activities and initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and support to the CSR - Philanthropy Committee and Volunteer team.

  • Oversee and manage charitable donation drives.
  • Support activities of the Communications & Team Member Engagement team.
  • Oversee community engagement events internally and externally, including ceremonies and presentations to community organizations & service clubs, and liaisons with community leaders, chambers, and organizations.
  • Ensure that required licensing is maintained & updated
  • Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
  • Oversee and manages the tracking and collection of tax related documentation from charitable organizations.
  • Manage data and reporting on community engagement, volunteer, and outreach activities to inform colleagues, managers, and directors across the organization of community engagement progress, ensuring compliance and best practices in data management and reporting analytics,
  • Ensure effective overall administration and sound fiscal management of program goals and objectives including the annual budget preparation and presentation.
  • Design and implement the organization’s annual communications plan in coordination with organization’s Communications and Team Member Engagement team.
  • Travel to local, regional, and national events.
  • Support and attend all volunteer activities organized by and or partnered with Resorts World Las Vegas.

  • Strong computer skills – (Microsoft Office Suite- Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
  • Excellent judgement and ability to make decisions and communicate in a way that advances the best interest of the organization always.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to travel locally and regionally as necessary.
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience in the areas of community engagement, communications, and community organizing.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Strong knowledge of the Las Vegas Community.
  • At least five years of Community Engagement, Human Resources, Brand Marketing, or related experience.


Preferred


  • Ability to communicati fluently in Spanish.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Pervious experience managing employees using a collective bargaining agreement.
  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
