The role
The Manager, 3PL Operations will oversee the team responsible for engaging with external 3PL fulfilment centers. This role will work cross functionally across the organization to enable alignment between manufacturing throughput, customer orders, transportation requirements, and invoicing execution. The Operations Manager will monitor and track the accuracy, timeliness, and other metrics of the team ensuring internal standards are met. The manager should act as a leader ensuring internal teams are communicating effectively, with the goal of optimizing the order to cash cycle and drive throughput as efficiently and accurately as possible.

Key responsibilities
- Act as a key problem solver and the go to person for day-to-day distribution issues related to last minute orders and issues resulting from production timing.
- Work closely with Account Management, Inventory Control, Logistics, and Accounting teams to ensure variances related to order issues are minimized.
- Supervise and develop a team of 3PL Operations Analysts and Administrators to meet organizational goals and priorities.
- Cultivate and foster strong working relationships with 3PL partners.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on key metrics.
- Improve team performance through coaching, mentoring, and training while proactively reviewing operational gaps and challenges.
- Develop and drive continuous improvement activities and projects to support new initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Excellent Microsoft excel skills.
- 5+ years’ experience in supply chain operations.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize while communicating effectively.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and present summary level information to key stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field.
- Ability to accurately execute solutions and new processes implemented to ensure an efficient system.
- Ability to lead and coach a team.
