Job Description
THE POSITION

Do you like working outdoors? Do you like working with your hands? A Maintenance Repairman 2 position at Ricketts Glen State Park may be the job for you. Ricketts Glen State Park is looking for a positive individual who strives to keep the park facilities in good working order for the safe, enjoyable recreation and relaxation of our park visitors.


DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position performs skilled journey level work in a variety of the building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding and masonry trades in the construction, maintenance and repair of park building, facilities and equipment throughout Ricketts Glen State Park. This position may be required to lead a small group of laborers in their performance of assigned task. The position will operate and maintain equipment and be called upon to provide technical independence in determining work methods and procedures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.
  • Seasonal full-time employment from March-November, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
  • Work hours are 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position does not provide health care benefits. There is no option to buy-in to group health care benefits.
  • You may be required to work weekends and holidays as determined by 7 day/week park operations. Shift may change based on operational needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
  • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Necessary Special Requirement:
  • This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.
