Mail Prep Dock Worker

Summary Of Job Duties
To coordinate truck loading and unloading with AIMS management and on-site United States Postal Service employee.
Description Of Duties
Responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to the following:

• May instruct or train other Mail Prep Dock Workers.
• May insert finished tray into USPS sleeve and strap if necessary.
• Place tray on correct skid and maintain integrity of trays on skid.
• Inspect first and last piece to insure proper traying.
• Wrap skids with plastic insuring integrity of mail.
• Responsible for maintaining inventory of USPS supply equipment.
• Shall understand and adhere to all safety and quality procedures.
• Move skids via pallet jack or forklift into a staging area before final loading.
• Move a completed skid of mail from the mail prep area to the shrink-wrap machine using a pallet jack.
• Must keep work area clean and hazard free at all times.
• Place proper labeling on skid.
• Responsible for keeping warehouse clean and orderly.
• Inspect finished mail try to insure it is on the proper skid.

Working Conditions

• Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, climbing.
• Must be organized.

Required Skills
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience shipping and receiving helpful.
• Must have a clear driving record.
• Must be able to be forklift operator certified.
• High School Diploma or vocational school certification.
