Our Machine Maintenance Journeyman is tasked with maintaining a selection of our 43 high-pressure die-cast machines, ranging from 800-ton to 3,500-ton lock-up force, auxiliary and secondary equipment such as industrial robotic, hydraulic trim machines, leak test, shot blast, conveyor transfer as well as gas-fired melting furnaces. This is a multi-craft environment so you will need to be skilled in electrical controls, mechanical, hydraulic, welding & general fabrication.

• Assist operators and other key personnel (as specified) with training to better operate and maintain their own equipment, within the scope of their responsibility.
• Assure that machines and equipment are kept in a safe operating condition.
• Make emergency repairs as safely and quickly as possible to maximize machine and equipment availability to production.
• Strong background in electrical is required
• CMMS data entry. (Maintains a record of all PM and work orders).
• Department of Labor recognized Journeyman accreditation, requiring course-work .
• Break Down repairs (Troubleshoot and recover production equipment).
• Assigned project work. (Upgrades, Improvements, & Scheduled repairs)
• Cross-functional knowledge/experience with mechanical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic systems, PLC controls, and relay systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance (PMs) on assigned machines and equipment.
• Maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment with the ability to troubleshoot and repair heavy machinery.
