Machine Maintenance Technician Jobs

Foxconn Wisconsin is seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician that will work as part of the manufacturing team to perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic troubleshooting and repairing of SMT production machines. Once a part of the manufacturing team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the maintenance department in a production environment and have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand your career in Smart Manufacturing.

The Machine Maintenance Technician will install and maintain plant manufacturing equipment, repair equipment according to layout plans and assist the maintenance team as needed.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Support production lines through process improvement.
• Install and Maintain plant manufacturing equipment. (Conveyor/PCB loaders, Wave Solder Machines, PCB de-stacker adjustments, Feeder repair, more)
• Complying with all Environmental Safety and Health rules
• Be on call for off shift issues.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
• Rebuilding manufacturing equipment as required.
• Using a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and other test equipment.
• Other Duties as Assigned
• Diagnose problems replace or repair parts, testing and making adjustments.
• Performing production program troubleshooting.
• Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
• Perform tasks including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and regular preventative maintenance.
• Assisting with machine placement optimization

Education Requirements and Ideal Experience Includes:

• A minimum of 2 years of working knowledge and pneumatic, mechanical and industrial machinery is required.
• Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
• Medium physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds.
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be able to work extended hours and weekends on occasion
• Requires walking, bending and standing with some climbing during the day.
• Knowledge in manufacturing equipment maintenance with a strong mechanical aptitude is required.
• Experience with SMT/PCB equipment or troubleshooting manufacturing machinery is strongly preferred.
• Associates Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance preferred
• Must be able to adapt to stressful situations and complete projects under tight deadlines.
• Must be able to work extended hours and weekends on occasion.
