Description:Determines methods and sequence of operations required to maintain and repair plant machinery and equipment as required.
Exercises a complete knowledge of plant maintenance theory, practice and procedure relevant to the repair of facilities structures and support equipment such as heating and ventilating systems, pumps, production machinery and equipment, plant plumbing systems, wooden facilities structures and components such as doors, windows, and partitions.
Determines methods and sequence of operations required to apply paint by brush, roller and spray painting to various surfaces in order to maintain the facilities and equipment appearance. Must repair and maintain to applicable codes, laws, and insurance carrier requirements.
Individual must be able to work in various heights (85+ feet), operate and work from moving and/or telescoping boom vehicles and equipment as required, and utilize appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment), equipment, tools, safety devices, and protective clothing.
Must possess a valid California driver's license.
Must possess certifications required by the Company or by law.
Basic Qualifications:
2 years experience (or equivalent) repairing plant machinery and equipment, with an emphasize on plumbing, painting, carpentry, or mechanical maintenance.
Experience with troubleshooting and repairing infrastructure related mechanical subsystems.
Experience with completing all facets of associated repair work including repairing, painting, patching, lubrication and servicing.
Desired Skills:
Able to read blueprints and read instruction manuals
Experience with all hand and power tools required to repair plant, property, equipment.
Prepares working sketches as required, and specifies any materials needed.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
"The base range for this position in California is $27.51 - 44.85.
