For our Client, an Important Company from San Francisco, CA, we are looking for a:

• Machine Learning Research Engineer

(On-Site | New York)

They are an ambitious team of machine learning researchers and engineers building the future of high-end photography for e-commerce businesses and DTC brands. In particular, we’re currently focused on building diffusion models capable of producing commercial product photography for e-commerce businesses.

This Machine Learning Research Engineer will be joining a team that is attempting to produce machine learning models that can match, and hopefully exceed, the quality of the best and most creative professional photography for minimal cost at scale. To meet this standard, our work requires pursuing novel approaches to push beyond what is known by the existing research. We are fortunate to be in a position where we have the resources to pursue advanced experiments, while still being a small team, in ways that are not possible at research institutions and companies.

About this role

In this role, you will design, train and deploy large-scale generative models into our production environment. You will modify and optimize the latest image generation models, implement novel experiments inspired by recent research, and train models efficiently at scale.

Responsibilities

•Collaborate with our research team to develop state-of-the-art diffusion models for our ecommerce photography use-case

•Read, understand, and implement methods in relevant research, including reinforcement learning algorithms for diffusion models

•Work with our engineering team pushing to improve the performance and efficiency of our machine learning deployments

Ideal candidate traits

•Ideally will have at least 2 years of experience in a machine learning intensive role (or in a research capacity), but ultimately we index on merit above experience

•Strong experience with programmings such as Python, CUDA, and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch

•Experience implementing and deploying multi-node GPU training

•Track record of implementing machine learning-based research project(s) end-to-end

•Ability to read, synthesize, and implement machine learning approaches documented in recent research papers

•Strong ability to communicate highly technical concepts and work effectively and succinctly
