Machine Learning Research Engineer

We are hiring for a start up (YCS20) based put of New York and backed by Y Combinator, Hack VC, and Soma Capital

About this role :

In this role, you will design, train and deploy large-scale generative models into our production environment. You will modify and optimize the latest image generation models, implement novel experiments inspired by recent research, and train models efficiently at scale.

Responsibilities:

•Collaborate with our research team to develop state-of-the-art diffusion models for our ecommerce photography use-case

•Read, understand, and implement methods in relevant research, including reinforcement learning algorithms for diffusion models

•Work with our engineering team pushing to improve the performance and efficiency of our machine learning deployments

Ideal candidate traits

•Ideally will have at least 2 years of experience in a machine learning intensive role (or in a research capacity), but ultimately we index on merit above experience

•Strong experience with programming such as Python, CUDA, and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch

•Experience implementing and deploying multi-node GPU training

•Track record of implementing machine learning based research project(s) end-to-end

•Ability to read, synthesize, and implement machine learning approaches documented in recent research papers

•Strong ability to communicate highly technical concepts and work effectively and succinctly

2 - 10 yearsof experience In a machine learning intensive role (or in a research capacity)

$125k - $180k
