Key Role Details

• Full-time new hires for this role will start as a cohort in August 2024.
• Participation in the program requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance at your assigned location, in accordance with Capital One’s hybrid working model.
• This role is a full-time associate position within a 18-month rotational program, designed as a career accelerator to foster the next generation of leading talent.

Basic Qualifications

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelors or higher with an expectation that degree will be obtained by August 2024 or earlier.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Beginner to intermediate machine learning skills through coursework and/or hands on experience with ML tools such as: Scikit-learn, PyTorch, Dask, Spark, or TensorFlow
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelors or higher with an expectation that degree will be obtained by August 2024 or earlier in a technical or quantitative discipline, including computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, and mathematics
• Intermediate to advanced programming skills or experience in one of more of the following areas: Python, Java, Scala
• Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving and conceptual skills

As a Machine Learning Engineer in the Machine Learning Development Program, you'll be part of an Agile team dedicated to productionizing machine learning applications and systems at scale. You’ll participate in the detailed technical design, development, and implementation of machine learning applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. Working within an Agile environment, you’ll focus on machine learning architectural design, develop and review model and application code, and ensure high availability and performance of our machine learning applications. You'll have the opportunity to continuously learn and apply the latest innovations and best practices in machine learning engineering to keep Capital One at the cutting edge of technology.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City:

$136,000 - $136,000 for Technology Development Program - Machine Learning

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
