Team Introduction
The Algorithm Engine team focuses on building a powerful engine that inspires creativity with cutting-edge technologies. Our engine provides the core engineering framework for intelligent algorithm integration, verification and deployment on various platforms, empowering the AR effects, video editing capabilities, camera filters and other creative features in TikTok and other popular Bytedance products.

Online Assessment
Candidates who pass resume evaluation will be invited to participate in Tiktok's technical online assessment through HackerRank.
Responsibilities:

• Design and implement the core algorithm engine.
• Productionize cutting-edge algorithms in TikTok and other products.
• Optimize algorithm run-time performance across various hardware platforms.
• Build automation frameworks to ensure high algorithm quality and efficiency.
• Build tools that deliver smooth algorithm exploration experience to developers and designers.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Familiarity with C/C++ and strong CS fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, OOP/DOD design) and problem-solving skills
• Basic experience with one of the following areas: computer vision / image processing / computer graphics / machine learning / deep learning / cross-platform development
• Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Preferred Qualifications:Experience in one of the following areas is a plus:

• Hands on experience with AI algorithm deployment on various platforms
• Familiarity with common CV & CG infrastructures such as graph computation frameworks, CV/CG libraries, inference engines, game engines, AR engines etc.
• Familiarity with heterogeneous computation on various devices: multi-threading/SSE/Neon/Metal/OpenGL/OpenGLES/OpenCL/Vulkan/CUDA/DSP/NPU
• Cross platform C++ development experience with iOS/Android/PC/Web applications
• Modern building systems and automation frameworks: cross-platform building, Unit Test, Performance Test, CI, familiar with Git or other code management tools

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $112200 - $147000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
