Job Description


      Position Summary:
      Provides practical nursing care to patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and PNHS policy. Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights.

      Education/Experience:
      Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing. One or more years of nursing experience is desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).

      Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses:
      Must maintain a current license of practical nursing.
      BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
      IV skills when trained and EKG skills. Safely and effectively operates the following: Various Health Testing Equipment (i.e. vision, hearing, blood pressure, etc.), Personal Computer, Printer, FAX Machine, Photocopier, and Telephone. Cardiac Monitor, EKG Machine and Accucheck Machine. All code cart emergency equipment.

      BLS required. (ACLS preferred)

      Clinic Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 8:00am-8:00pm, Saturdays & Sundays 8:00am-5:00pm, One Holiday per year 8:00am-5:00pm.
