WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):
The American Red Cross requires new hires in this location or position be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of Employment. This means in this location or position you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the start of employment or seek an exemption. Upon being offered a position, individuals will be required to submit proof of vaccination. If you are unable to be vaccinated due to medical or religious reasons, you may qualify for an exemption. When you join our team, you will be utilizing your nursing experience to assist with every step of the blood collection process. As a charge nurse you will lead a team, draw blood and, on occasion, supervise blood drives. This includes collaborating & leading with your team to transport and setup equipment at the collection sites in local communities or leading the team at our fixed site locations. You will be creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors, and following all safety procedures while collecting lifesaving blood donations that are delivered to hospitals.
