Job Description

Immediate Openings: Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN)



Recruiter.com is currently seeking Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) to fill full-time positions in the local California State Correctional system. Recruiter.com Healthcare Division works with the local California State correctional system to provide top talent needs. We strive to give our providers the knowledge and experience needed to expand their skill set. We also search for individuals who enjoy a challenge, desires to work in a close-knit team, enjoys variety in the type of care delivered, and make an impact on a vulnerable population.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • Observes patients’ health.
  • Prepares and administers injections and/or enemas.
  • Provides routine care for patients.
  • Interviews patients and records their medical history and physical condition.
  • Monitors catheters.
  • Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
  • Reviews medical charts.
  • Plans and manages patient care according to each patient’s needs.
  • Communicates with patients and their families.
  • Performs standard diagnostic procedures including EKG, phlebotomy, venipuncture, PFT, and Doppler.
  • Assists with patient comfort.
  • Administers medications.
  • Accompanies patients to their rooms.
  • Provides wound care.
  • Prepares specimens for lab courier.
  • Assists physicians and registered nurses.

Location: Stockton California
Shifts Available: Morning, Evening, Night
Duration: 6 Months Plus
Travel: Allowance if qualified
Pay: $50 - $60/hr (depending on experience)

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • BLS certification
  • Current California License
  • Completion of the state-approved training program (generally in the form of a diploma, certificate, or associate degree)
  • A minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience
