Long-Term Substitute needed through the end of the 2022/2023 school yearDistrict-Wide Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)Reports to the Director of Student ServicesRESPONSIBILITIES: Consultative- Provide consultation to district staff and programs in the area of behavior management, skill acquisition and data collection- Attend multi-disciplinary IEP meetings and other meetings with collaterals as necessary- Assist to develop behavior intervention plans that include data collection and analysis- Assist the school adjustment counselors and/or the school psychologists in the Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) process.- In cooperation with school staff, develop IEP with goals and objectives for each student- Supervision of Registered Behavior TechnicianTraining- District Leader in Safety Care Training- Train staff on data collection system and practices- Participate in professional development and in-service training programs developed by the Special Education Department- Provide ongoing support and training to faculty and staffProgramming- Knowledge of Social Thinking and Zones of Regulation to support the programmatic implementation- Support the implementation of trauma-sensitive classroom techniques- Support programmatic development of Specialized Learning Programs- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Functional Assessments (FAs) as needed- Create ongoing data collection system and practices, and analyze data on a frequent and ongoing basis- Develop behavior plans/treatment plans for students with a focus on teaching and other antecedent strategies for reducing problematic behavior(s)Home Services- Conduct Home Assessments to establish family needs and monitor progress. Interview and gather information on students to determine their eligibility and need for services, the extent and the feasibility of their engagement in parent training- Assist families in obtaining private, outside home services- Coordinate bringing the classroom skill development into the home to provide a continuous context for learning in all subject areas- Collect and follow through on progress monitoring by working with home service providers- Train home service providers in appropriate work-related attitudes, habits, behaviors, dress, and communication skills necessary to obtain and maintain employmentOversight- Facilitate communication between school-based personnel, home service provider, and family- Attend multi-disciplinary IEP meetings and other meetings with collaterals as necessary- Provide oversight to the implementation of individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)- Maintain an active role in developing positive public relations between school and community.- Perform other such duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Director of Student Services
