Carestream EPT Rules

Carestream, in compliance with EPT Rules is offering a very competitive salary target of $85,000 depending on experiece. This position is eligible for an annual bonus, 401K match, and overtime opportunities. Position Summary:


The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for managing and planning the daily production activities of nonexempt operators in an assigned work area(s) at Carestream manufacturing facility in White City, OR (Medford, OR). Coordinating and managing personnel to meet the business objectives. Interact with supply chain, customer service and manufacturing functions to ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Daily shop floor interactions; face time with direct reports in the production work area.
  • Maintain sufficient team staffing to support operation and business goals (resolve staffing issues created by request for vacation, PTO, etc.)
  • Ensure all employees have adequate training for their jobs (Safety, quality, regulatory requirements, job specific tasks/functions.)
  • Escalate critical issues (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Personnel) to the next level management; be available during core and noncore work hours for escalation from personnel.
  • Manage workflow and assignments of team members to ensure optimal safety, quality, and output.
  • Ensure all employees are following policies and procedures; address any gaps through performance management; Immediate and timely resolution of personnel and process related issues.

Position Responsibilities:

Conduct routine verification that procedures, special instructions, checklists are all followed by personnel.
  • Conduct one on one meeting with direct reports. Conduct routine team meetings to effectively communicate information on process changes, equipment, business performance, strategies, or expectations.
  • Lead improvement events (safety, quality, productivity, delivery.)
  • Coordination and delegation of tasks of direct reports for assigned area(s) of responsibility
  • Ensure accurate timecard reporting by all personnel and approve weekly.
  • Drive Zero Defect initiative to proactively identify and eliminate problems.
  • Complete goal setting, mid and year end performance assessments, and merit pay reviews within the expected timelines.


Direct and coordinate material receiving, warehousing activities and customer order replenishment. Monitoring the inflow, outflow, and promptness of deliveries of items on the warehouse. Oversees the logistics flow in every area to ensure Logistics teams have the needed supplies vital to the efficiency and smooth progression of operations. Ensure operational requirements process compliance and develop process improvements. Plans the layout of the warehouse to ensure safety, efficiency and orderly layout for easy location access of all items; and developing procedures on stock transaction and training employees on proper material handling.

Required Skills & Education:

  • 3+ years experience on Logistics / Supply Chain leading operations for Domestic and or Export shipments
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Minimum: High School/GED and 3+ years relevant experience Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in logistics or business, 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Logistics
  • Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Quality Tools to include Process Control Strategies, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis and Waste Reduction
  • A strong sense of urgency

Desired Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience managing and leading direct reports.
  • Preferred-Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Quality Tools to include Process Control Strategies, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis and Waste Reduction.
