We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator who will report to the Logistics Manager, and who’ll be tasked with planning, scheduling, directing, and coordinating the transportation activities. As part of your role, you’ll coordinate with outside transportation companies to ensure safe and efficient deliveries.
YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Allocate sales orders to production orders
Plan loads in the system to maximize efficient load plans and minimize cost
Coordinate with carriers to pick up the loads
Prepare and coordinate load plan with loading crew- load diagram
Assemble shipping packet for the drivers, BOL, MSO, and special instructions
Collaborate with Shipping to minimize loading challenges
Collaborate with carriers to minimize shipping challenges
Collaborate with Sales to minimize delivery and scheduling issues that may come up
Contact dealer to arrange delivery- if needed
Partner with Sales on delivery and returns of product, help with investigations if product is damaged during delivery
Assist others with outbound logistics questions
Other duties as assigned
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Required:
High school diploma
Customer service experience
Basic proficiency with MS Excel, or Google Docs, Sheets
Preferred :
2+ years of experience in outbound logistics operations
Experience with ERP Systems
Prior global shipping management/customs clearance experience
Proven record processing shipments in accordance with DOT regulations and hazardous material labeling requirements
