At Caterpillar’s Tucson Proving Ground (TPG), we develop and test large mining and heavy construction machines to ensure that we deliver a quality product to our customers. In this role as a Logistics Analyst, you will report to the Supply Chain and Logistics Function and will be primarily responsible of overseeing the Receiving & Kitting department as well as purchasing products and services to support various test and development efforts. As a member of the Supply Chain and Logistics team, you will need to have a growth mindset, promote continuous improvement, and help build a defect-free culture at TPG. Job Duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Review workflow demand signals and purchase requisitions
• Design and implement new processes to promote efficiencies in the kitting/receiving departments
• Provide training to newer employees in the areas of expertise
• Engage with teams from other departments or divisions of the organization
• Create and maintain reports as needed to monitor inventory levels and support production schedules
• Maintain supplier relationships by communicating with suppliers to ensure quality and schedule requirements are met
• Document new processes and/or working instructions
• Provide supply chain inputs in multiple internal reviews
• Place purchase orders, receive order confirmations, track purchases, and resolve order/invoices discrepancies

Basic Qualifications:

• College or university degree related to Supply Chain, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of supply chain or related job experience

Top Candidates will also have:

• Provide supply chain inputs in multiple internal reviews
• Create and maintain reports as needed to monitor inventory levels and support production schedules
• Place purchase orders, receive order confirmations, track purchases, and resolve order/invoices discrepancies
• Maintain supplier relationships by communicating with suppliers to ensure quality and schedule requirements are met

The primary location for this position is Tucson, AZ
