Logistics Analyst Jobs

Manage the transportation processes for inbound freight to our North American facilities, including international and domestic shipments. Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, and customs agents to insure timely movement of freight and customs clearance. Coordinate with site personal and carriers to facilitate deliveries, focusing on delivery date and equipment needed to unload. Act as liaison to the project teams for project freight. Acts as first contact for expedited freight. Point of contact for GSC, project team and site personnel for freight related questions. This a fast-paced position, the employee will need to work well under pressure and handle timelines. This position will occasionally need to work outside of normal office hours to support business. This position is remote.

Essential Functions

• Perform other duties as requested.
• Serve as the logistics liaison between GSC, suppliers, site personnel and transportation providers to review safety and performance.
• Work with suppliers and the compliance team to support customs clearance and licensing.
• Manage transportation operations for inbound freight to North American facilities.
• Meet with carriers on a quarterly basis to ensure that performance objectives are being met.
• Serve as the liaison with freight forwarders on the transport of international moves. Monitor movement, customs clearance and deliver date. Report regularly to stakeholders.
• Assist in expedited/hot shot shipments.

• Knowledge of incoterms
• Experience with SAP
• Experience exporting out of the US
• Experience importing into the US
• Experience working with freight forwarders and customs agents.
• Preferred Skills: Experience with domestic trucking
