Our Livestream Moderators are the beating heart of a successful livestream. They ensure our set is dressed properly for the scheduled stream, often placing products and props in-frame. They set up our ring lights, tripod and camera phone. Moderators then direct, run and produce their scheduled streams working closely with our on-camera hosts. Moderators actively participate in the live chat interacting with viewers and customers. Our moderators are also problem-solvers, ensuring that no matter what issues arise during a stream, they’re prepared to find a solution in real-time.

Post-stream, moderators collect the analytics, prepare reports for our wider team and help prepare the live studio for the next stream.

Working hours for our moderators are typically ‘prime-time’, which means afternoons, evenings and weekends. Arrival time to the studio is later than a normal office environment and the end of the work day is also later.

Job Responsibilities

• Management of social media accounts across major social platforms
• Active participation in live chats with viewers and customers
• Education and ready knowledge of the products we’re selling during streams, including pricing, variants, discounts and materials or ingredients
• Set up of camera phones, ring lights and set dressing
• Preparation of analytics reports
• Operation of back-end commerce and livestream dashboards across various platforms
• Direction and communication with our live host in real-time

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to work in fast-paced environments without getting frazzled (livestreaming by its nature is fast-paced and requires quick-thinking)
• Strong organizational & reporting skills
• 2+ years of experience in social media, ecommerce, the creator economy or production
• Comfort with a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends, as prime-time streaming sometimes happens during non-traditional work hours
• Deep understanding of TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and social media platforms
• A strong desire to grow into a larger role within a rapidly-expanding startup
