Linux System Administrator Jobs

SEMATS III is seeking a Linux system administrator to manage their AI Big Data initiative. You will be working with cutting edge technology to facilitate this initiative. This is a team effort, consisting of multiple partnerships with Government personnel, direct contract support personnel, and AI application developers.
Essential Job Functions:
Install and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux on physical and virtual machines.
Configure and maintain a Linux based DNS server in our DMZ.
Be able to install and maintain a SMTP server to handle internal enclave email traffic.
Install and manage a MAC based computing cluster. Install and maintain Linux based COTS modeling software.
Participate in High Performance Computing discussions and software usage/installation/management.
Interact with users who are experiencing issues with systems and software that they use.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline plus 8 years of experience.
Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance within 6-9 months.
Experienced Linux/Unix Administrator.
Security+ CE certified.
Familiar with Cloudera in a Linux/Unix environment.
Familiar with various database systems: MySQL, Postgres, Oracle.
Knowledge of Hadoop File System, (HDFS); NFS; and CIFS.
Familiarity with DoD certificates:
Generating Certificates Signing Requests in a Linux Environment, especially within the Cloudera environment.
Knowledge on submitting CSRs to AFPKI for certificate generation.
Knowledge of JAVA interaction with certificates in the Cloudera environment.
Ability to follow knowledge base and help articles on Cloudera specific certificate instructions.
Understanding of application modules.
Experience with virtual computer systems.
Experience with VXRails.
Experience with VMware ESXi and VMware Horizon Client.
Experience with VMware's VDI environment.
