Linux Administrator Jobs

We are currently seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to join our team. As a Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux-based systems and servers. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Linux administration, with at least 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior Linux administrators.
• Implement and maintain system backup and recovery procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Linux technologies and propose their adoption when appropriate.
• Proactively identify areas for system and process improvements and recommend solutions.
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based systems, servers, and software.
• Ensure system and data integrity through regular backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control for Linux systems.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations to keep the infrastructure up to date and secure.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.

Qualifications:

• Understanding of security best practices and implementation in a Linux environment.
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat) and their administration.
• Familiarity with networking protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Knowledge of system monitoring and log analysis tools.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM) and containerization (e.g., Docker).
• 5 to 10 years of experience as a Linux Administrator or in a similar role.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Relevant certifications such as Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) will be a plus.
• Proficiency in Linux shell scripting and automation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
