The Licensing Specialist I Position

Sunnova Energy is searching for a Licensing Specialist I to assist the Compliance and Licensing Team. This position supports the Compliance and Licensing Team to meet Sunnova’s business expansion and growth, contributing to the company’s evolution. The successful candidate will have precise attention to detail, a professional disposition and intrinsic motivation. They will be an energized team member who can work cross-functionally to define and execute on a vision for the business .

Licensing Specialist I Responsibilities

• Performs any other necessary duties as assigned.
• Monitors and responds to inquires submitted to the Compliance and Licensing Team
• Prepares applications and filings for new corporate or individual qualifier licenses, permits, and registrations.
• Assists in managing Sunnova’s corporate and individual qualifier license portfolio.
• Manages customized reports to track application deadlines and deliverables.
• Works directly with relevant state-specific authorities and internal partners to obtain and maintain/renew, licenses, permits, and registrations

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience using Salesforce, Adobe, and Smartsheets
• 1 - 2 years of solar, construction, or financial services related licensing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• DocuSign experience
• Familiarity with laws and rules governing state-level licenses, permits, and registrations.
• Experience working directly with internal partners.
• Spanish bilingual
• Notary public

• Ability to adjust to changing project priorities, work well under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
• Ability to work as a team member and interact with other departments.
• Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

• Strong collaboration skill, and written and verbal communication.
• Strong problem-solving skills
