Currently we are seeking Letter Layout Artists to join our growing team in our location in Liberty Lake, WA.

Pay: $19.37-$23.90

Function

Under general supervision, artists perform a variety of layout and editing procedures required for the production of plaque and letter products.

Specific Job Duties

• All other duties as needed for the benefit of the group and organization.
• Faxes, files and emails documentation for artwork approval process.
• Requires direct contact with customers.
• Receives and opens artwork via fax, scanner, e-mail or discs.
• Reviews production order to ensure it matches Gemini's capabilities.
• Follows up with customers to help with order flow for art approvals.
• Remain up-to-date and trained on current manufacturing capabilities and options.
• Maintains a complete and orderly file of all artwork and orders.
• Performs comparison of Sales Order to Art Approval to verify they are the same before forwarding art to production to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Maintains an organized and clean work area.
• Completes and maintains records, production levels and job requirements.
• Performs duties in a safe and positive manner.
• May perform similar and other duties as assigned and instructed.
• Frequent contact with production required.
• Coordinates the design, mounting and layout of options included.
• Maintains a positive working relationship with fellow employees and supervisors.
• Edits artwork with appropriate software and communicates with customers as needed. Receives and reviews signed customer approval before forwarding order and artwork to plant for production.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and English skills at 12th grade level

or above; Proficient in Adobe Illustrator or similar software and Windows, Ability to learn new software as required, Basic electronic filing and organizational skills. Phone skills and professional written communication.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate of Arts Degree/Certificate in Advertising Design, Graphic Design or similar. Minimum two (2) years previous typography, font design or similar electronic graphic media experience.
