Job Description

The purpose of this position is to produce materials and messages that invite all God's children to follow Jesus Christ. This role works in the Church's in-house publishing agency to provide professional learning experience design and development support to all Church departments and areas.

Learning Experience Designers oversee the design and development of small to medium-scale internal or external-facing learning products and experiences in various formats and languages. They work closely with clients and stakeholders to develop learning strategies, design instructional content, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality learning experiences. They leverage vendors and vendor relationships to assist in this work.


  • Work with stakeholders to identify learning and performance objectives.
  • Support production of instructional videos.
  • Oversee small and medium-scale instructional related projects from beginning to end.
  • Work with project and product managers to establish the scope, schedule, and budget for projects.
  • Maneuver comfortably through complex policy, process, and organizational dynamics.
  • Develop vendor relationships.
  • Secure and deploy vendor and internal resources effectively and efficiently to design and develop learning content and materials.
  • Balance client needs with production complexities.

  • Experience working with vendors.
  • BA/BS 5+ years’ experience designing and developing instructional content.
  • Knowledge and experience with eLearning and media development tools.
  • Experience working on collaborative teams.
  • Experience managing small to medium-sized learning projects.
