Job Description

The Learning & Development Manager role requires a unique blend of expertise in talent management, learning and organizational development, coupled with strong project management, analytical abilities, and relationship building skills. This role is accountable for driving the implementation, operationalization and continuous improvement of AE’s learning approach, content development and delivery solutions. Develop and execute operational plans to fulfill business learning requirements and initiatives. Responsible for the design, development and implementation of enterprise learning solutions and capabilities. Develops and maintains AE’s learning assets, curriculum, and a variety of leader development best practices that align with organizational goals and values. Evaluates compatibility and alignment of proposed new tools, systems or methodologies which complement current and future learning strategies and platforms.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in meetings and manage projects across a global team, providing HR/talent expertise and consultation to the business and HR colleagues.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external partners to design and deliver leadership development programs to build a robust pipeline of leaders.
  • Understand and use internal talent insights and industry talent market trends to build talent and organization capability.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including identifying ways to gain the most value from corporate spend.
  • Partner with HR business partners, senior leaders, and other key stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate into integrated talent and learning programs that drive value for the business.
  • Strive for continuous growth and improvement by being agile, curious, a fast learner, and passionate about taking on big challenges with the ability to manage ambiguity and deal with uncertainty.
  • Apply a data-driven approach to measure the effectiveness of talent, leadership, and learning and development programs and continuously iterate to improve results.
  • Stay current with trends, research and best practices in talent, leadership, learning and organizational development.
  • Develop talent management processes and programs necessary to create a ready and capable leadership pipeline; measure and monitor the health of succession planning, high potential identification, talent reviews and other approaches to close talent gaps.
  • Contribute to projects, programs and learning initiatives as needed to support HR business partners and organizational leaders.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Flexibility working across time zones as part of a global team, as required.
  • Occasional travel is required.
  • Works in standard office environment and uses general office equipment (phone, computer, copier, fax machine etc.).


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong global awareness and diversity of thought and experiences
  • High proficiency with Microsoft office applications including PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • High level of consultative, interpersonal, communication, and presentations skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Highly customer-focused, collaborative, and able to develop strong relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.


EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated success aligning large scale global learning and talent initiatives to drive business goals, from conceptualization through impactful execution.
  • Strong background in establishing and managing meaningful metrics to drive improvement and results.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously; prior experience in the technology industry a plus.
  • Working knowledge of HR tools/systems (Success Factors), learning delivery platforms and content providers is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in talent management, L&D, or similar role.
  • Experience in the delivery of international programs is preferred.


EDUCATION:

Essential:

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications or related field
  • Certification in one or more assessment instruments (e.g. MBTI, FIRO-B, Birkman)


Desirable:

  • Advanced degree in Organization Development, O/I Psychology or related field.


COMPENSATION:

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $90,000 to $130,000 per year.
