Job Description
:
The Learning Coordinator aligns with the Clinical Education Department in supporting local learning needs, partnering with hospital, clinic, homecare, office administrators, and community learning business partners to implement and evaluate locally deployed learning related programs.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, day shift; No Holidays/Weekends
Please note, this role requires some local travel and in-site clinic visits.
Reports directly to a Director of Clinical Education. Dotted line relationship to the Medical Group Leadership Team.
Scope
As an Apprenticeship Program Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting and coordinating all aspects of our organization's apprenticeship program. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including apprentices, trainers, mentors, and management, to ensure the smooth operation and success of the program.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborates with peers across the enterprise to assure consistency in program implementation.
  • Monitor apprentice progress and performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate interventions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for apprentices, addressing their questions, concerns, and needs throughout the program.
  • Managing program logistics, facilitating communication, coordinating training activities, and providing administrative support including documentation and reporting. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for fostering the professional development of apprentices.
  • Performs assigned needs assessments and conducts ongoing evaluation of learning activities based on participant feedback, national standards, and changing organizational requirements in support of a One Intermountain model.
  • Provide guidance and support to apprentices, ensuring they have the necessary resources and tools to succeed in their roles.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Education is verified.
  • Project management and continuous improvement experience.
  • Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, e-mail, and reporting tools.
  • Two years of experience in an education role.
  • Leadership, mentoring, and coaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Practical experience as a Medical Assistant (or above) with supervisory skills.
  • Master's Degree in a relevant clinical area or Education.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, MS Office Suite, and database management.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and online training platforms is desirable.
  • Preferred experience in leading a team, including check-ins and performance evaluation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in program coordination or similar roles, preferably in an apprenticeship or training context.
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks, regulations, and best practices is preferred.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and supporting the professional growth of apprentices/caregivers.
Physical Requirements:
  • Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information.
  • Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
  • Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
  • See and read computer monitors and documents.
