Online Credit Recovery Coordinator

Location: John F. Kennedy High School, Cheektowaga-Sloan Union Free School District

Salary/ Pay Scale: Contractual pay $45 per hour (approximately 50-60 total hours as approved by administration)

Position Summary/Purpose:

In the Cheektowaga-Sloan UFSD there will be an online credit recovery opportunity offered to select students who did not pass the course during the 2022-2023 school year. The District is in need of one (1) teacher to coordinate and offer support to students enrolled in these courses.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS: The successful candidate will:

• Work with school counselors to aid in student success
• Provide weekly updates to students on course progress
• Craft letters to families with information regarding the online program
• Grade occasional assignments with rubric provided
• Notify parents/guardians and students on course progress through letters, phone calls and email communication
• Inform administration of student performance
• Possess excellent communication and organizational skills
• Support students with login assistance and program navigation when necessary

Requirements:

• New York State Certification in Secondary Education required
